Flashing erases the software and data on your comma device and restores it to a clean factory state.
- Open flash.comma.ai and follow the instructions shown there to flash your device.
- Do not use the cable that came with your comma device; it is not a standard USB-C cable.
- Use a high-quality USB-C cable, such as one that came with your phone or laptop.
- Plug in the cables in the exact order shown in the flash.comma.ai instructions.
- When the flash finishes, complete setup on the device.
- Install the latest official openpilot release during setup.
If the issue continues on stock openpilot, return to hardware troubleshooting and follow the steps to contact support.
